Cross Grade Level Stories 2020
In early March, students in our class partnered up to outline a fictional story. Using a story map graphic organizer, they brainstormed several characters and a setting. I presented those idea to Mr. Foley's creative writing students at BHS. Then they wrote a story using the guidelines. And Mrs. Estabrook's advanced art students created art inspired by the story. Even though class was not in session, the high schoolers continued working on their projects and finished. These were going to be part of an art show at the high school this spring, and our class was invited. Unfortunately, that event had to be canceled. However, the writers and artists are very proud to share their masterpieces with us in a digital format. We sure hope the third graders like seeing their ideas come to life! Visit this Padlet page to see and read them all! Special thanks to Mrs. Estabrook for this project idea!
